My Journey at GPHC started as a rotating GMO where i rotated through all the various departments for a total of 18 months; OBGYN, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Health centers and Pediatrics.
After my rotations, I was stationed as a permanent GMO for about 3 months between various health centers; Nabacalis Health center, Unity Health center and Buxton Health center.
I applied for a permanent position at the Internal Medicine department at GPHC, where i spent 2 years as a permanent GMO.
I then applied to the Internal Medicine residency program at GPHC, where I spent 3 years before graduating with my Masters in Internal Medicine.
I spent approximately 10 months as an acting registrar in the Internal Medicine department at GPHC, after which I resigned from the Ministry of Health and applied for a Registrar position at GPHC.
I have been working as a Medical Registrar for the past 5 years, supervising a team of doctors with inpatient care.
during my time as a medical registrar, I have supervised multiple researches for interns and residents.
I have represented my department on the Child Mortality committee for a full year. I was recently appointed vice chair for the Blood Transfusion committee, where I was also the leader of the protocol creation sub-committee, which created 2 new protocols; Platelet transfusion and the massive transfusion protocols this year.
I also represent my department in the Pharmacy and therapeutics committee. I have attended various work-shops, including a Root-cause analysis work-shop.
I am currently assisting in the Obesity clinic as the supervising Internist.
