• As the Chief Planning Officer, I was tasked with general oversight of the daily port operations. These included:
• Oversight of daily management, planning, and coordination of maritime logistics, including oil and gas supply vessels/pipe vessels, container ships, log barges, barite carriers, agriculture exports, and cement vessels.
• Supervision and management of the port workforce (over 60 staff), ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and shift transitions.
• Preparing and executing daily operations meetings, setting out individual/team tasks and responsibilities, as well as daily port targets.
• Conflict resolution and management of adverse situations arising from accidents on the port.
• Ensuring HSSE compliance by port operators/staff.
• Coordination of activities and effective communication with department managers to align operations across the company.
• Management of rice bonds and storage facilities, ensuring efficient use of space and resources.
• Preparation and delivery of detailed daily progress reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer.

• Directed construction and management of hinterland roads across Regions 7, 8, and 9 in Guyana, enhancing access through dense forests and vast savannahs, facilitating local community support, trade, and resource development.
